GripNWA hosts laid-back autocross events built around seat time, learning your car, and spending a full day driving and hanging out with other car people.
GripNWA events are held at Drake Field, using a wide-open concrete surface that allows for different course layouts throughout the season. The in-town location makes it easy to show up and settle in — hotels, restaurants, and parts stores are all close by. Drivers and spectators are welcome to bring chairs and pop-up shade, hang out trackside, and grab food from the food trucks while music plays throughout the day. There aren’t any bad spots to watch from — the action stays close and easy to follow.
Drivers of all experience levels are welcome, and just about any car can participate — many competitors bring their daily drivers. Experienced drivers are often available to ride along with newcomers, offering tips and feedback to help them get comfortable, learn car control, and get more out of their runs. It’s competitive if you want it to be, relaxed if you don’t — an easy, low-pressure way to spend a day driving with other people doing the same thing.
